How Do Coursera and Udacity Compare?
In the past year I completed three Coursera Specializations (Data Science, Java Programming, Objected Oriented Programming), and two Udacity Nanodegrees (Programming, Machine Learning Engineer).
Udacity has transformed the learning experience through its engaging educational platform and innovative curriculum co-developed with industry partners.
Coursera put the existing university education model on a website.
Maybe I am being uncharitable to Coursera, but Udacity is a true innovator in the educational technology space. What Udacity lacks in breadth of its content, which focuses exclusively on technology careers, it makes up for in the depth and quality of its offerings. As a student of both, I can say definitively that Udacity is miles ahead of Coursera when it comes to the quality of its technology curriculum.
I am also putting my money where my mouth is - I am waiting eagerly for the launch of the Udacity Artificial Intelligence Engineer Nanodegree on January 23rd!
